Imitations: A widespread offence
Laws on competition are strict but inspire improvement, innovation and the implementation of new control techniques on materials, production, product wear and safety. We are dealing with children’s products: a delicate sector where each detail is seriously and professionally assessed.

However, unfair competition exists in imitations and their consequent sale at lower prices. Counterfeit products are very similar to the origins, deceiving to the eye and attractive to pockets but they do not offer the same guarantees on precision and especially on safety. This type of competition is exerted by Chinese, Russian and Eastern European countries that have introduced numerous imitations of our products on the European market. This type of behaviour, in addition to being ethically detrimental to Italian products, is especially detrimental to the child’s health and safety.

Precautions to be observed when purchasing products
EC markings were introduced by the European Community to guarantee that products intended for use by infants and children are professionally manufacturered. A product without these markings or with a similar logo that means “China export” does not offer any safety guarantees. It should also be noted that the various European regulations required the manufacturer’s name to always appear on products.

A detachable part, a faulty belt and the use of toxic materials are punishable by law: Retailers are responsible in the event something should happen to a child that uses any of these items.
